Teach at SSM

We are always looking for beginner and advanced level teachers to join our team. We are very thorough in our selection process and invite you to apply with us if you match the following qualities:

1) Not commercial!

At the school, we are all a group of like-minded people. We all carry great respect for the art. We are not commercial and do not account for classes on an hour-by hour basis. Classes end when the student understands and is able to sing the lesson, not when the clock touches the hour.

2) Teach like you would learn

We have a very strong feedback loop with the students. We stop and correct our students and don’t let the mistakes or swarasthanas slip when they sing. In essence, we expect that the teachers train with the same dedication they use when they learn themselves.

3) A flair for teaching

You may be a great singer, but teaching adults and children requires a whole other set of skills. We look for teachers who are able to not just train our students, but also build bonds with them and inspire them with a holistic knowledge of music.

4) Compensation

We are not a commercial establishment. While we respect the art and artists and support all our teachers to the best of our abilities, we do not promise big remuneration packages.

We do invite you to apply to join us. We promise that your will be part of something great! We are a big family of teachers and students and welcome people who want to add to our world of music!
